Well, I’m certainly glad that the Tornado warnings this weekend, didn’t destroy my home, flowers or hurt any of my family members, thank goodness.  Here we are chugging along into the spring and summer seasons, with the snow melted and buyers out there looking to move their families before school starts in the fall.  There should be a bit of a drag coming up this July for the Real Estate Market, knowing that a lot of Yeggers will be heading off for blessed holidays!

What is the largest single advantage of trying to sell your home yourself?

Saving the commissions payable.  So what is the single greatest advantage of buying a home directly from a seller or for sale by owner?  Saving the commission again. So everyone wants to save on the commissions, but who has the advantage in Edmonton- a Buyer or a Seller? Only 15% of homes currently on the market will sell within the first 90 days in Edmonton.  So clearly, a buyers market.  That being said, is the advantage on the sellers side with only one property to sell, or on the buyers side with multiple properties they could buy and the money to do so?

That’s right, the Buyer has the power.

Congratulations to Helen and Thomas on the sale of their Landmark built condo in Caernarvon, Edmonton.  This sale was part of a brookfield relocation.  Have you ever heard of brookfield?  No, not the condo developer… lol  Brookfield has quite a lot of government departments under their wings, like military and police.  Some of us REALTORS® have signed up to be one of their designated agents to help those needing to get the move done and at a bit of a reduced fee.  I have no problem serving the men and women who keep our communities safe and clean.  Thanks to Paige Bourgeois of Remax River City for doing her job well, and for generously doing, what other agents could not.
